The Mars Shot is the first global social media campaign of its kind, launched by the Emirates in collaboration with the internationally acclaimed actor and comedian Kevin Hart, to empower people to accomplish their dreams.

    Top 15 dreams are posted for public voting on the website on July 22, 2020. Voting closes on July 25, 2020.

    Five shortlisted dreamers are announced on the campaign’s digital channels on July 28, 2020.

    Kevin Hart and a representative from The Emirates will announce three winners in a live virtual event on 5th August, 2020.

Evaluation Criteria

Entries will be evaluated based on:

    Creativity and Originality

    Entries must reflect your own dream directly related to your life and personal experiences. Videos must demonstrate deep passion for your well-thought dream, expressed in your own unique and creative way.

    Message Content

    Videos will be selected based on how detailed and thorough your dream is presented. A compelling video highlights a clear vision, reasons behind your eagerness to achieve a dream, the plan you aim to follow and what you need to make your dream come true.

    Tangibility and Applicability

    Your dream needs to be practical and able to be achieved on real grounds with direct benefits to you and your community.

    Impact

    Your dream will be evaluated by how impactful and inspiring it is for your community and the world as a whole. How will it change your life, and the world, to the better?

    Quality of Video Presentation

    Videos will be evaluated on the overall production in terms of visual and audio quality, editing, logical sequence and adherence to the time limit of 1 minute.
